Grande Prairie region home sales see a boost in October

The number of homes sold in the Grande Prairie region and the number new homes put on the market in October.

According to the latest statistics from the Alberta Real Estate Association, over the 31 days 124 properties were sold, an uptick of 0.8 from last year. While the number of new properties that went on the market was up 15.2 per cent.

In October, 188 new listings were for sale; down 39.7 per cent from the number of properties available in the same month last year. The total residential price in the region saw a 4.6 per cent uptick year over year at $341,957.

In the first ten months of 2024, row sales have seen the largest jump with 56 sold, a 40 per cent boost for the same period last year. Detached homes however still are seeing the most sales with 935 sold in over 304 days, which is on par for the same period last year.
