St. Joe’s student wins bronze at Skills Canada Nationals

A local student is bringing home some hardware from the national Skills Canada competition. Carissa Greer spent the last few days in Saskatoon, where she won bronze in the Fashion Technology category.

The grade 12 St. Joseph Catholic School student was among 500 others from across the country that earned their way through first place finishes at their provincial events. She was joined by Darci Peterson of Beaverlodge Regional High, who competed in Junior Hairstyling.

Greer has been taking part in regional Skills Canada events since she was in grade 9.
