Bezanson couple takes home $100K on scratch ticket

A couple from Bezanson has scratched their way to $100,000. The Western Canada Lottery Corporation says Simon and Cindy Romkes took home the prize from a WOOF WOOF instant ticket on July 30th.

The winning ticket was bought from the Bezanson General Store on July 10th. Cindy says she had to look at it twice to realize their windfall.

“I thought it was $10,000 to be honest. I hid the prize amount and asked my husband to check the symbols and he said, ‘Yep, it looks like a winner!'”

The duo plans to put their winnings into RRSPs and take a trip.
