United Way collecting Tools 4 School

Monday is donation drop-off day for the United Way Alberta Northwest’s Tools 4 School program. The organisation will be stationed at Centre 2000 to collect supplies and cash donations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

High need items this year are backpacks, markers and crayons, 2″ and 3″ binders, large glue sticks, white erasers, pencil boxes and cases, whiteboard markers, and notebooks. Online donations can also be made.

It’s reported this year the requests are higher than ever. Last year, 863 requests for backpacks and school supplies were fulfilled in 31 communities.

The deadline for applications has already passed.
