The County of Grande Prairie is looking to “break down” the process of composting for its resident. It is hosting a free workshop at the Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management on August 27th.
Experts will go over the basics of both large and small-scale composting for agricultural and household use with help from experienced local composter Rebekah from Out to Lunch Farmstead. Registration is required online by August 24th as participation is limited to 30 people.
Everyone who takes part will get a County-branded compost pail to use at home and more sophisticated equipment will be up for sale.
