A 21-year-old Grande Prairie man is facing charges after allegedly colliding with an RCMP vehicle early Monday morning.
Police say they were conducting patrols in the area of 96 Street and 116 Avenue when they recognized a vehicle that had previously failed to stop for police in the month of July.
Authorities say they attempted a traffic stop, however, the vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed. A short time later the same suspect vehicle collided with a RCMP cruiser near 102 Street and 107 Avenue.
Both the driver and officer were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Kolten Weaver is facing charges of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, flight from police, and operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited.
