UPDATE: Overdue travellers found safe

UPDATE: Whitehorse RCMP reports the couple has been found safe.

The family of a missing couple believed to be travelling from Whitehorse to Alberta is concerned for their safety. The RCMP says Owen and Susan Konski were last known to be in Whitehorse until July 20th or 21st before heading south on the Alaska Highway.

Their family hasn’t been able to contact them since July 19th and they were reported missing on the 27th. The overdue travellers are both in their early 60s and are believed to be driving a white 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck with an Alberta licence plate towing a roughly 30-foot fifth-wheel travel trailer.

Susan is described as 5’6″ and has long white hair and green eyes. Owen is described as a Caucasian man with medium-length grey/white hair, grey eyes, and a goatee who wears glasses.

Police officers have reportedly done patrols in areas along the highway as well as followed up on leads without success so far. Anyone with information on the Konskis’ whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
