With a heat warning in effect for the Grande Prairie region, the municipality is doing something to help residents cool down.
The City of Grande Prairie has announced that the splash parks at both Lions Park and Muskoseepi Park will be available for residents to use from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until Monday, August 1st.
Officials are urging those who will be outside during the hottest parts of the day to keep themselves safe by taking frequent breaks during outdoor activities and drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated.
