Playground equipment replacement starting at four Grande Prairie parks

Construction at two of four city owned parks has begun, as the municipality will be replacing aging playground equipment with more up to date infrastructure.

Work began this week at Jim Kluyt Park in Country Club Estates, and Tot Park in Crystal Heights. Crews will soon begin the transformation at Alexis Trimm Park in Countryside South and Rotary Park in Smith.

Changes to the playgrounds will go behind just new equipment, with protective surfacing, and play surface borders also being installed at each location.

The playgrounds will be closed for the duration of construction.
