City releases new schedules for indoor and outdoor pools

The City of Grande Prairie has made some changes to the schedules for the Eastlink Centre indoor pool and the Aquatera Outdoor Pool.

At the Eastlink Centre, the 30-minute breaks between public swim times have been removed. Swimming lanes are now available for use until 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays and open until 9 p.m. every other day. Lane swimming is also available for limited use on weekdays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. This is to accommodate programs and bookings. Family swim times are not just for children and their guardians, they are open to everyone now. Slides and river amenities will not be able in an effort to create a quieter environment.

At the Aquatera Outdoor Pool, only one 30-minute break will take place in the daily schedule, which will occur between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Lane swimming is now available from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. However, lane ropes will not be added during those times. Adult swim time has also been removed and more public swim times have been added.

The changes took effect on Monday. Schedules for the indoor and outdoor pools are attached via hyperlink.
