Beaverlodge issues fire ban

The Town of Beaverlodge has followed the province’s lead and enacted a complete fire ban.

No campfires or open fires will be allowed within municipal boundaries. Only gas-powered barbecues meant for cooking will be allowed.

Fire Chief Steve Rawlyk urges resident to check any fire pits that have been recently used to make sure they are completely extinguished and cold. A fire ban is also in effect across Alberta.
