Today is unofficially the warmest day of the year so far. Grande Prairie reached 26 degrees in the 5 p.m. hour, beating Wednesday’s 24.3 degrees and Tuesday’s 23.1.
Before that, the warmest day has been April 28th, when it reached 23.8 degrees. However, it’s still about three degrees behind the record of 28.9, which was set in 1948.
The heat looks to be sticking around for the rest of the week, with highs of 27, 28, and 26 degrees in the forecast for the next three days.
