Workers burned removing water tank door

A stop work order has been issued for a Seven Generations Energy work site after an incident that sent two workers to hospital.

On May 7th, the Alberta Gold Energy & Rentals employees were removing the access door of a produced water tank with an electric wrench at the site 70 kilometres south of Grande Prairie when the space erupted in flames.

The men were taken to the QEII hospital with first and second degree burns to their face and hands, and were released later that night. Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating what happened.
