Winter storm watch issued for Grande Prairie

Brace yourselves for another blast of snow, as Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for the Grande Prairie region. The national meteorological service says a system is currently pushing its way into West-Central Alberta, and will eventually begin to shift northeast sometime Thursday.

Snow accumulations up to 25 centimetres can be expected in some areas, although the exact area affected is still somewhat uncertain at this time.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
