Callahan handed one year sentence

55 year old Ronald Arther Callahan has been sentenced to a year in for stealing a truck and evading police last fall.

On November 20, 2014 RCMP attempted to pull over a white Ford dually pick-up believed to be stolen in Royal Oaks. A male passenger, 51 year old Richard George Beach, got out of the vehicle and was arrested while Callahan drove away with police giving chase. He then turned and crashed into the RCMP SUV following him.

Callahan was arrested at his home later in the day, charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, and possession of stolen property over $5000 dollars. Beach was sentenced last december, and fined $12-hundred dollars for possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance
