Canada Post asking residents to provide a safe space for delivering packages

Canada Post is asking Grande Prairie residents to do what they can to ensure postal workers have a safe place to deliver parcels during the winter. The mail service is asking locals to clear and salt snowy walkways, stairs, and driveways.

Three simple steps residents can take to provide a safe space and avoid slips and falls for postal workers as much as possible are making sure the driveway, stairs, and walkway are properly shoveled, de-icing stairs using sand or salt, and clearing snow and ice off handrails.

Canada Post says locals’ efforts can make a big difference in keeping its employees and others safe during the winter.
