Penson School shifts to online learning Wednesday

Penson School in Grovedale will be heading to online learning starting Wednesday, January 26th. The Peace Wapiti Public School Division says the decision to ask for the temporary shift to at home learning was made after they were made aware of a high number of absences in students and staff at the facility.

Students will transition to at-home learning until Thursday, February 3rd, with February 4th remaining a division-wide Professional Development day.

Students will be back to in-class learning on Monday, February 7th. Penson is the fourth school in the region to revert to online learning, alongside St. Joseph’s High School, St. John Paul II Catholic High School, and portions of Harry Balfour School. However, affected students at Harry Balfour returned to in-class learning on Wednesday.
