Two Grande Prairie high school football players have been named to the 2015 U18 Team Alberta.
Quarterback Alexander Noel and offensive lineman Austin Gordon both play for the St. Joe’s Celtics.
They took part in the main selection camp at McMahon Stadium in Calgary over the weekend. There were more than 140 football players taking part, 40 were chosen for the final team.
The team will be practicing in Red Deer in Mid June to prepare for the Football Canada Cup, which is being held in Montreal from July 12-20. Alberta has earned six Canada Cups since the event began in 1995.
