44 new COVID-19 cases reported in Grande Prairie

44 new and 25 recovered cases of COVID-19 were reported in the City of Grande Prairie on Thursday. There are now 342 active cases in the municipality.

In the County of Grande Prairie, 29 recovered and 14 new cases of the virus were also identified over the last 24 hours. 118 active cases remain in the region.

Provincially, 6,163 new cases were discovered on Thursday from 16,541 tests for a positivity rate of 37 per cent. Across Alberta, 822 people remain in hospital due to COVID-19, with 82 requiring the ICU.
