For the first time since mid-October 2021, more than 300 active cases of COVID-19 are being reported in the City of Grande Prairie. This, after 32 new and 16 recovered cases of the virus were reported in the municipality on Tuesday, pushing the active total to 303.
In the County of Grande Prairie, 18 new and seven recovered cases were also reported over the last 24 hours. There are now 137 active cases in the region.
Across Alberta, 6,789 new cases were discovered on Tuesday from 17,815 tests for a positivity rate of 38.1 per cent. Provincially, 748 people remain in hospital due to COVID-19, with 82 requiring the ICU.
