Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival has been cancelled. All tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically within two weeks. Tickets purchased in person will be refunded at the Bonnetts Energy Centre box office.
There is an option of a virtual BMFF event with a smaller portion going to Wapiti Nordic Ski Club. The virtual show lineup is different, but the option is available for those that are interested.
In a statement, host Geo Rawlins says that they are unable to reschedule the event at Grande Prairie Regional College, but are working with the Banff Centre and Grande Prairie on potentially finding another venue in the city. Rawlins adds that they hope to reschedule live in-person shows for Spring 2022 and should know whether or not that is possible within a week.
The event was originally scheduled for January 14th-16th at GPRC.
