There won’t be a doctor in the Fairview Health Complex emergency department overnight. Alberta Health Services says it will be without physician coverage from 7 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday.
In the meantime, nurses will be on hand to provide triage and assessments, as well as refer patients to emergency departments in other communities. EMS calls will be rerouted to the Grimshaw/Berwyn and District Community Health Centre, the Central Peace Health Complex in Spirit River, and the Peace River Community Health Centre.
Anyone requiring emergency medical care is urged to call 9-1-1. Non-emergency, health-related questions should be directed to 8-1-1.
