Grande Prairie records 80 new cases of COVID-19, 14 recoveries since December 28th

Since December 28th, the City of Grande Prairie recorded 80 new COVID-19 cases and 14 recoveries, bringing the total number of active cases to 112. In the County of Grande Prairie, 63 new cases and 21 recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of active cases to 87.

In Grande Prairie, 70.8 per cent of those eligible have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 63.6 per cent of eligible residents have been fully vaccinated.

Across the province, Alberta added 19,738 new cases during that timeframe, including a record 4,570 new cases on December 31st. Twelve more COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Alberta, including a child between the ages of five and nine.

There are now 34,276 active cases in the province.
