Bandaged Paws to hold New Year’s Day adoption event

Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association is hosting an outdoor adoption day on New Year’s Day, to try and find forever homes for dogs and cats in their care.

Executive Director Natasha Arsenault says they held a similar adoption event in the fall, and they’re hoping to kick off the new year by trying to find homes for nearly 75 animals in their care.

“We have just over 70 dogs between our facility and foster care [and] we really want to find homes for as many of them as we can.”

Arsenault says adoption drives like this help in two ways, in not only providing a home for any of the available dogs or cats but also helping make room for more animals needing care.

“Right now we have about 30 dogs on our waitlist and about 125 cats in our care,” she adds.

The adoption event will take place in a large fenced-in green space at the back of the Bandaged Paws facility. Arsenault says anyone is welcome to come.

“We will have a group of our dogs out there. There is more than enough space for everybody to run around and have some fun,” she says.

The outdoor event runs from noon to 4 p.m. on January 1st.
