GPRC moving most courses to virtual settings, adopting mandatory vaccination policy

Grande Prairie Regional College is moving most of its courses online. It has also adopted a mandatory vaccination policy, effective January 3, 2022.

The college says it made the “difficult decision” to postpone in-person learning for the majority of its courses on December 27th. Certain courses such as Welding 1, Plumbing 3, and Organic Chemistry 1 will still be offered in person.

GPRC adds the decision to require proof of vaccination or an approved exemption on campus mirrors the actions of most post-secondary institutions across the province and country.

The school has also announced it will be offering free fitness and wellness classes for students enrolled in the upcoming winter term.
