Extreme cold warning issued for Grande Prairie

Following an extreme cold warning that was issued on Christmas Eve, Environment Canada has issued another extreme cold warning locally.

The Grande Prairie region will see temperatures as low as -42 early on Wednesday morning. The meteorological service says that areas throughout Alberta will experience wind chill values between -40 and -45, with some areas seeing temperatures as low as -50.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, Saturday we will see some relief with a high of -9.
