After delays last year, work to finish installing a steel panel deck on the Red Willow Bridge is starting back up soon. The replacement of the concrete deck on the crossing south of Beaverlodge on Highway 722 is now slated to start in late May and wrap up by the fall, weather permitting.
It was supposed to be done by October last year, but there were issues with installation and fabrication.
While construction is underway, there will be one 3.5 metre-wide lane with lights to alternate traffic. Large farm equipment can pass with a pilot vehicle, but farmers need to call ahead to 905-351-2596.
