The 12th COVID-19 related death has been reported in the County of Grande Prairie. It is among two deaths reported by Alberta Health Services in the AHS Northzone on Monday. One was a male in his 60s, involving pre-existing conditions, the second was a man in his 70s with no known pre-existing conditions.
One new and three recovered cases of COVID-19 were also discovered in the county over the last 24 hours. 32 active cases of the virus remain in the region. In the City of Grande Prairie, two new and two recovered cases of COVID-19 were also identified on Monday. There are 48 active cases of COVID-19 in the municipality.
Across Alberta, 250 new cases of the virus were discovered Monday from 6,419 tests for a positivity rate of 3.89 per cent. Province-wide, 336 people remain in hospital with COVID-19, with 70 requiring the ICU.
