Spring cleaning to sweep Grande Prairie this weekend

The city will hopefully look a lot greener and cleaner this coming Monday thanks to the annual City Scrub and the Rotary Green-a-thon.

Neighborhood associations around the city will be getting busy this weekend rotating through Countryside South, Summerside, Highland Park, O’Brien Lake, Cobblestone, and Riverstone this weekend.

Anyone wanting to help out is encouraged to meet up with other litter pickers throughout the weekend.

The city encourages everyone to take at least 20 to help brighten up the city over the course of the next week.

Meanwhile, members from all 5 Rotary clubs in town will be taking part in the 42nd Annual Green-a-thon, joined by grade 5 and 6 students for a day of pancake breakfast, BBQ lunch, and picking up litter from green spaces around the city.
