PRSD hand games set for tomorrow

A celebration of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture will draw hundreds of Peace River School Division students to Peace River tomorrow.

The school division is holding their annual Hand Games for students from grades 4 to 12.

They’ll be coming from Fairview, Hines Creek, Grimshaw, Manning, and Red Earth schools.

The games are thousands of years old and are also known as the bone game or hand stick game and were created out of a need for conflict resolution.

Hand games see students practising leadership, cooperation, and good sportsmanship as they compete against their classmates.
