RCMP looking to ID men seen outside Fort Mac homicide victim’s home

RCMP in Fort McMurray are looking for the public’s help in ID’ing two men seen outside the home of a homicide victim. 25 year old Jonathan Bennett was found dead after a fire in his trailer home in early January, but an autopsy showed he did not die as a result of the fire, although his cause of death has not been released.

There’s video footage of a car driving past several times before the fire was reported, as well as a man walking nearby. The vehicle is believed to be a newer model BMW 3 Series four-door sedan, with the driver wearing red or orange clothing with reflective stripes. The pedestrian is wearing red or orange work coveralls with reflective banks on the sleeves and pant legs.

Corporal Erick Youngstrom says with the number of people that work in Fort Mac but don’t live there can make it difficult to find people they want to speak to. Anyone who can help is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
