Charges laid against suspects caught sleeping in stolen vehicles

Two men from Grande Prairie are facing more than 50 charges stemming from their April 1st crime spree between Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek.

29 year old Michael Ginter and 33 year old Joseph Semple reportedly stole a vehicle from Grande Prairie, and went on to commit multiple break and enters and thefts on their was to the Mile Zero City.

Police found both of them passed out in stolen vehicles in a Tim Hortons parking lot and towing company yard.

At the time, Ginter was already on probation for similar charges out of Alberta, and Semple was on a conditional sentence out of Vernon.

There, he rammed a police cruiser while trying to escape custody in a stolen vehicle.

He also had outstanding warrants out of Alberta.
