NHL draft ranking for former Grande Prairie hockey player

A former player for the Grande Prairie Storm has made it on to the NHL’s final draft rankings for 2015.

Brendan Guhle is ranked 56th out of 210 North American players.

Guhle played for the AAA Bantam Storm from 2009 to 2011, before moving to Sherwood Park and then Prince Albert, where he currently plays for the Raiders in the WHL.

The 17 year old defenseman earned five goals and 27 assists this season.

Defenceman James Vermeulen of the Whitecourt Wolverines also made it onto the list at 203rd.

The draft is set for June 26th and 27th.
