Mac’s has plans for former Shell location on 116 Ave

The lot that formerly held a Shell gas station may soon have a new business.

The Mac’s convenience store chain has plans to open a new store and gas bar on the corner of 116 Avenue and 96 Street.

It’s expected that the existing building will be torn down as it does not match the development plan that has been draw up from the site.

Nearby homeowners have expressed some concerns about a new business being built on the lot, as in the past they have been issues with the lack of sidewalk and with parked vehicles rolling downhill and into trees or parked vehicles.
