Aggravated assault victim in Edmonton hospital

A man is in hospital in Edmonton recovering from what’s believed to be serious head injuries after an assault Thursday night.

The man was allegedly assaulted by another man at the South Patterson Plaza around 9 p.m.

The full extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

A 24 year old male is in police custody awaiting a bail hearing on charges on aggravated assault.

A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the victim’s son to fly in to visit.

It’s received more than $2,600 in the first three hours.
