UPDATE: A special weather statement has also been issued for the region, warning about both snow and strong winds tonight and Wednesday. The rain we’re getting today is expected to change into snow, heavy in some areas. The main axis of snow will be in a line from Grande Prairie and Peace River to Lloydminster and Cold Lake.
A snowfall warning has been issued for the Alberta Peace, with 10 to 15 centimetres expected.
Wet, heavy snow is expected to start late tonight in the Fairview and Valleyview and taper off by Wednesday afternoon.
Environment Canada says seeing up 25 centimetres in some areas isn’t out the question.
