City adjusting gravel road ban to 75 per cent axle weight

The City of Grande Prairie is changing its road ban. Starting Sunday, March 28th, all gravel roads in the city will be at 75 per cent axle weight 24 hours a day. It is currently 50 per cent axle weight around the clock.

The County of Grande Prairie’s will also be changing to the same rules starting Saturday at 10 a.m. Municipalities use road bans to protect vulnerable roads during the spring thaw.
