Edmonton man pleads guilty to Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation sex assault

A 52 year old man from Edmonton has plead guilty to charges stemming from the sexual assault of a 24 year old woman on the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Benjamin, or Benny, Takeawoa Ngu reportedly broke into her home on November 14th and kept her there forcibly for four hours while he assaulted her with a weapon.

Takeawoa Ngu has been sentenced to six years in jail for sexual assault causing bodily harm, as well as four years concurrently for break and enter with intent, and two years concurrently for forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.

He has also received a lifetime firearms prohibition and must submit his DNA to the National DNA databank and be registered as a sex offender for 20 years.
