No one was injured in a house fire caused damage to a home in Mission Heights Thursday evening.
Fire crews were called to the home around 10:30 last night.
Their work was lessened by the efforts of a next door neighbour who knocked down the flames with a fire extinguisher before crews arrived and got it fully under control.
The family’s cat was rescued by fire fighters and the blaze, which started on the front deck, is under investigation.
