Grande Prairie – Smoky MLA Everett McDonald has been named Associate Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
He’ll be working with Minister Verlyn Olson, who is taking a few weeks off to recover from health issues.
In announcing the change to Cabinet responsibilities, Premier Jim Prentice says McDonald has decades of family farming experience, and an understanding of issues in rural communities.
