The County of Grande Prairie is encouraging local non-profit groups to get involved with their roadside cleanup program.
The program runs from May 1st to the 18.
Participants can earn $150 per km of roadway cleaned, and earn an additional $200 for taking all the waste collected to a designated bin.
Last year’s campaign saw 25 groups collect nearly 6 tonnes of litter, raising a total of $33,000 from 180 km of roadway.
