Weyerhaeuser’s Operation Diaper Drive aiming high for 2015

After a successful third year of their campaign in 2014, Weyerhaeuser is now looking to collect 1.3 million diapers between all of their North American locations.

Each year the company collects the diapers which are then given back to organizations that help low income families in their communities.

Public Affairs Manager Wayne Roznowsky says the project has grown enormously throughout the company since it began in 2012.

“Grande Prairie has been very strong in supporting this. The diapers that are donated locally are used locally. The organization that will receive diapers are the Odyssey House, Pregnant and Parenting Teens, the Salvation Army Food Bank, the Canadian Red Cross, and Babies Best Start.”

Donations in Grande Prairie last year exceeded 45,000 diapers.

Roznowsky says anyone who would like to make a donation can contact Weyerhaeuser directly.
