Local Unifor members vote to approve new deal with CP

Unifor members have voted to ratify a new collective agreement with CP Rail by 79 per cent.

Votes took place over the last two weeks, including in Grande Prairie on Friday.

An agreement was reached just minutes before the deadline on February 14th, which includes wage increases in each of the four years, benefits improvements, better apprenticeship ratios and other initiatives.

The unionized workers conduct safety inspections, and take care of maintenance and repairs.
