A woman in Dawson Creek is dead after a hit and run earlier this morning.
Police say the 59 year old woman was walking to work when she was struck at the intersection of 106 Ave and 8 Street.
They are asking anyone who may have been near the intersection between 5 and 7 am to come forward with information, and to the driver who may not have realized that they hit the woman.
The name of the victim is not being released.
