RCMP in Dawson Creek is investigating the abduction and shooting of a man early Saturday morning.
While at the Dawson Creek Hospital for another matter, police found a man outside the entrance who had been shot several times.
He was reportedly abducted sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight from the intersection of 102nd Avenue and 17th Street.
He was forced into a pickup truck by the parking lot of Bergeron Funeral Home by several suspects.
He was then taken to a rural location where he was shot multiple times.
The victim was able to drag himself to the road, where he was picked up and taken to hospital.
At this time is believed the incident is drug related.
