UPDATE: Power has reportedly been restored to all of Grande Prairie. ATCO Electric says the outage was caused by a bird in their substation.
Power outages have been reported in several areas of Grande Prairie.
They include Avondale and Gateway, the Prairie Mall, in the north end, south side, and several areas in the northeast part of the city.
At this point ATCO Electric has not identified the cause, and no time has been given for restoration.
We will update when we learn more.
