The United Way Northwest Alberta is a little over half way to their 2013 fundraising goal of 1.3 million dollars.
However, with the deadline for donations is just six weeks away, organizer say they have raised about $845,000, just 65% of their goal.
Funds raised from the annual campaign go towards supporting 31 programs and 26 charities that serve northwest Alberta, such as the Sunrise House Youth Emergency Shelter and the Disabled Transportation Society.
Donations can be made online at www.unitedwayabnw.org up until March 31.
