The Mile Zero Motor Inn in Grimshaw was hit by an armed robber Thursday night.
Around 11 p.m., Peace Regional RCMP says a man wearing a Halloween mask approached the hotel’s front desk staff and demanded money with what appeared to be a firearm.
Fortunately, the weapon wasn’t used and no one was injured, but the suspect made off with cash in bills and coins.
He’s believed to be Aboriginal, about six feet tall with a slender build.

He was wearing a hooded sweater, along with the mask, which looked like the face of an elderly man.
Anyone who may have information about any suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
