A travel advisory has been issued for Highway 40.
Grande Prairie RCMP says with the weather conditions, snow is packed onto the road and maintenance crews are having a hard time keeping up.
It’s especially bad in the powerline hill area and south of that point.
The highway is still open, but only necessary travel is recommended.
There are also a number of spun out trucks on Highway 43 westbound at Smoky Hill.
No injuries have been reported, but there are delays for traffic.
