Savanna School basketball team made possible through a generous donation

Thanks to the efforts of a new teacher some local donations, students at Savanna School can now take get involved in competitive basketball.

Lloyd Booth, a first year English teacher and coach spear headed the creation of the school’s new team after receiving a donation of $4,600 from the local UFA Fuel Supplier, Rick’s Fuel Services LTD.

There are 14 students from grades 6 to 9 on the co-ed team.

They’re off to a good start as well, finishing second at the Bert Bowes Invitational Tournament in Fort St. John in January.
